Postcards From Holland: Good Night!

Tonight Egypt wanted to say goodnight to Dad and Romania. I asked if she knew how to sign that. (Daddy's deaf, so all the kids are learning sign). She said, "Yes. Like this!" This is a picture of her signing "I love you" for 'goodnight'. Love it.

Words to live by (by a 3 year-old)

Here are the words to live by (by a 4 year-old)

"Those aren't glubs, those are miffins."

"There's frosting on the ground!" she was referring to frost she saw on the grass

"My favorite color is chocolate."

-"Let's sing the 'Danger, Danger' song. (Away in a Manger)

- "That's not a bus, that's a bus!" reasoning to her brother on a car ride.

-her: "I want to sweep."
me: "You want to sweep?"
her: "NO! I want to sweeep!"
Finally it dawned on me she can't pronounce her L's

"I can't see my eyes"
-she says this when I turn off all the lights in her room at bedtime

"Is the purple grandma coming over?"
-not really sure why she calls my mom the purple grandma

"This is Tomato-Head"
-can you figure this one out?

"Carry me. My legs hurt."
-said any time she doesn't want to walk. Usually in the middle of grocery shopping or Target

"Mom. That's not a leaf. That's a lily pad."
-correcting mom when looking at a tub toy

"I can't wear underwear because I have a booger in my nose."
-explaining why she doesn't want to be potty trained

"McDonald's had a farm. Yi-oh. McDonald's had a farm. Yi-oh." (sung in the car upon seeing McDonald's)
